The Spar Fair 2024 at Belorta Warehouses is a perfect example of this. Together with Colruyt Group, we transformed this annual fair for Spar store owners into a unique platform where the latest products were showcased and creative end-of-year campaigns came to life in an enchanting winter setting.
End-of-Year Inspiration Presented in an Unexpected Way
The challenge? Creating an inspiring winter theme to energize store owners for the end-of-year season and support them in presenting their campaigns. Instead of opting for the traditional Christmas trees and holiday markets, we went for a completely different concept: the mystical glow of the Northern Lights and the purity of snow. This approach allowed us to deliver a true “out of the box” experience that not only captured attention but also set a unique atmosphere perfectly aligned with Spar’s end-of-year inspiration.
From Warehouse to Elegant Winter Fair
Belorta Warehouses, with its robust industrial character, was completely transformed into a venue reflecting the magic of a winter’s night. We created an impressive lighting installation in the form of a large wave of Northern Lights that ran through the entire hall and connected all the stands as a unifying element. This visual highlight made visitors feel immersed in the serene atmosphere of the Northern Lights above a glistening snow-covered landscape.
The entire fairground was wrapped in white: white stands, white carpets, white furniture, and decorations. Every detail was carefully curated to create the impression that visitors were walking through a snow-covered wonderland, with the stands serving as small islands of inspiration.
Technological Perfection and Pure Design
No corporate event is complete without the right technological touch. The lighting, sound installations, and visual effects were crucial in perfectly recreating the glow of the Northern Lights. With a smart setup of light and sound effects, we created an atmosphere that not only visually stimulated visitors but also brought a sense of calm and serenity. Every element, from the white carpets to the lighting effects, contributed to a spatial yet airy feel throughout the venue.
Additional Space for Interaction and Inspiration
Since the venue required a bit more space for additional workshops and presentations, we extended the fairground with elegant white tents, creating two additional break-out rooms for sessions and workshops. These extra zones provided store owners with the opportunity to dive deeper into product innovations, store layout concepts, and strategies for successful end-of-year campaigns.
A True Winter Experience for Spar
The result? A winter fair that left the classic Christmas concept far behind. Colruyt Group was thrilled with how we brought their vision of a winter-themed corporate event to life, and the feedback from visitors was overwhelmingly positive. The serene ambiance of the fairground created a relaxed environment where business and informal networking could take place effortlessly.
